Sunday School

Our parish’s Sunday School ministry is dedicated to helping each child feel special and know they are an important part of the community of believers - the Church! We offer an inclusive religious education experience rooted in the rich experience of the Holy Church.  Classes range from Pre-K to High School, and are held immediately after Divine Liturgy & Fellowship on Sundays from September to June. Our Sunday School ministry fosters spiritual learning through age-appropriate lessons, which may include an introduction to church feasts, fasts and liturgical practices, prayers, Bible stories, crafts and projects, and liturgical songs. Lessons for older children and teens also include discussions on theological and ethical topics, in conjunction with social events.

Every Sunday School session opens with a General Session led by either our teachers, senior students or priest. Senior students have speak to our Sunday School children on a particular topic and applying our Orthodox Christian faith. Topics range from bullying, cursing, lying, integrity, etc. It is an great opportunity for our senior students to mentor our younger children in a meaningful and enriching way. Our Achen leads general session twice an month, where children learn about our precious faith through iconography, hymns of the Church, and the lives of the saints!

If you are interested in signing your child up for Sunday School, please reach out to our Sunday School Principal.
